And So It Begins

I created this blog to start documenting and writing more about my thoughts and daily life. I haven't been so good on updating it, and feel like I should be writing down things that I wanted to remember. My son Owen is already 19 months and I feel I should have been documenting and writing more about him and how much he is learning and growing. Sadly there are so many things that I have forgotten, so many memories that are stored in the back of my mind that may only reappear with a random thought or smell. My personal goal is to update this blog and try to capture everything about my little one as much as possible. So this is where it begins... My summers have consisted of visiting my sister at the hospital. She has been having complications with her pregnancy and at 26 weeks was admitted into the hospital to be closely monitored. Owen comes along and loves it. It's his new favorite place. He loves running up and down the halls and yelling at the top of his lungs. One of his favorite things to do is push all the buttons on my sister's bed. The button that really calls his name though is the pink one with the cross on it. That one calls the nurse directly and he loves it. When we're at home he asks, "Puuushh Button?" Owen gets pretty bored at home, and he constantly wants to try new things. I took him to the zoo recently and he loved it! Sadly, I only took a couple pictures there, and they were on film. So, once I get the film developed I will post them up on here. Owen sat in the stroller almost all of the time and was just amazed at all the different "Aminals" there were. I'm thinking about getting a season pass to the zoo. My hubby Matt got me a Kindle Fire for Mother's Day and I have been indulging myself in so many books. I'm still torn though because I love having the actual book to read, but the Kindle version books are so much cheaper to purchase! At the moment I am reading The Innocent by David Baldacci. It's really good so far, and I think I will write a review on it once I'm done.
